Our first major benefactor
We are delighted that our vision has garnered a wide spectrum of support and grateful for the public endorsements of our project. We hope you are inspired to learn more about our vision for the lido and to ultimately join the organisations and individuals above in supporting our journey so we can deliver benefits for the community - both now and for future generations.

Leeds City Council recognises the importance of physical activity for our residents and visitors to Leeds, especially as an integral element of our planned recovery from Covid. Swimming and water based activity is a critical element of this and in particular offers significant benefits across the ages so we are pleased to be able to add our support to the communities’ efforts to bring this much valued local facility back into use. As part of this commitment the Council continues to be willing to consider how best to support the community bringing the facility back into use subject to the necessary external funding being found.
Cllr James Lewis, Leader of Leeds City Council
